REAL ID—“Your Papers Please!” We thought it would not happen in Amerika…

Nevada’s 2007 Legislature passed A.J.R. 6 opposing REAL ID unanimously in the Assembly and with only 1 dissenting vote in the Senate. Interestingly, Nevada Eagle Forum and the ACLU were the only organizations testifying in favor of this resolution, which Eagle Forum had worked for very diligently during the entire session. We tried to get a stronger bill but unfortunately, Nevada’s opposition was mostly based on opposing the unfunded mandate of over $30 million dollars. More than a dozen other states also passed resolutions opposing the federally mandated Real ID—which is the national ID card long opposed by liberty loving Americans. Currently, Nevada’s Director of DMV has been spending staff and budget resources to get Nevada’s drivers license into compliance for a quick conversion to REAL ID.
REAL ID is set to go into effect on May 11, 2008. One thing that will delay it is the difficulty of State bureaucracies to comply. The land of the free and the home of the brave is fast disappearing as we turn into a fascist state with the loss of our God-given unalienable rights. The American people are being stripped of what it means to be Americans. Already, it is practically impossible to do business, have a bank account, a job, a profession, go to the hospital, see a doctor, have insurance, drive a car without a government issued Social Security card. We were promised it would never be used for identification. Now, we don’t exist without it.

Or it their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. With the treacherous combination of government and international corporations fascism is the order of the day in Amerika.
