Janine Hansen is a busy woman these days.

Besides commuting from her home in Elko to Carson City every weekend in the
spring while serving as a lobbyist
for the Nevada State Legislature, she also works as the Leader of the Nevada
Eagle Forum, the Nevada
Committee for Full Statehood, and as the Executive Director for the Nevada
Independent American Party.
So Janine has a lot on her plate, especially being a part of the most
politically active family in Nevada. This also includes representing Hansen
& Hansen LLC- her family’s Las Vegas law
firm.
Yet this is never too much work for Janine, especially when it comes to the various State Senate and Assembly Bills the Nevada State Legislature mulls and dissects every year.

Included in this years Legislative list of bills and potential new laws that deal with….
* A new mandatory seat belt law currently being debated, which Janine and the IAP oppose.
*A bill dealing with people out of state who legally carry a concealed weapon. This bill is loosely related to a previous altercation with Janine’s brother Chris and the Les Vegas Police Dept.
*Another Pro-Gun bill dealing with Clark County.
*A bill prohibiting the confiscation of guns in case of a natural disaster or a serious catastrophe.
In addition, bills dealing with a statewide lottery, requiring proof for stock water rights, pharmacists refusing to provide contraceptives on moral grounds, illegal immigration, and a bill that would legally protect petitioners from threats and intimidation are never overlooked, however.

Yes. At the end of the day, whether in victory or defeat, Janine Hansen never throws in the towel. Quitting is never a option for a Hansen near the end of his or her journey, even in the face of nearly impossible obstacles.
Janine tirelessly fights a continuing battle for our freedoms and against encroaching bureaucracy. Either running for the office of Secretary of State, or collecting signatures to protect the sanctity of marriage in Nevada; an Independent American’s work is never done.
