“Better Voting Nevada Initiative”
Jungle Primaries and Rank Choice Voting
This initiative eliminates the need for political parties because it eliminates party primaries and the ability of parties to promote their values. Republicans or Democrats will no longer be choosing their party’s nominees at the primary who then go to the general election. It eliminates the choosing of their candidates by minor parties at their state conventions. Instead, it puts all candidates, Republicans, Democrats, minor parties and No Political Party candidates, into a jungle primary in which all voters of any political party, or none, vote together in the primary. Five people are selected at the Primary and proceed to the general election.
The initiative requires this statement in the primary and general election ballots: “A candidate’s preference does not imply that the candidate is nominated or endorsed by the party, or that the party approves of or associates with that candidate.” In other words, a candidate can hijack the name of a party because he thinks he will have a better chance of being elected. The Party has nothing to say about it!
The Jungle Primary is for all State wide races including President, U.S. Senators and Representatives, Governor, Lt. Governor, Attorney General, Secretary of State, State Treasurer, Controller and State Legislators.
You thought we were concerned about Voter Fraud now…
Wait until Ranked Choice Voting
The initiative also institutes rank choice voting in the general election. Ranked Choice voting will take place in the General Election where each voter can vote for all 5 people who made it through the Primary ranking them in order of preference.
From the initiative: “When counting ballots in a general election for partisan office, the Registrar, County Clerk, or chief election official in each County shall initially tabulate each validly cast ballot as one vote for the highest-ranked candidate on the ballot or as an inactive ballot (this term refers to someone who has voted too many times in ranking the candidates and whose ballot won’t be counted). If a candidate is highest–ranked on a majority of the active ballots, that candidate is elected and the tabulation is complete. If no candidate is highest-ranked on a majority of the active ballots, tabulation proceeds in sequential rounds….”
“If two or fewer continuing candidates remain, the candidate with the greatest number of votes is elected and the tabulation is complete: otherwise the tabulation continues…..The candidate with the fewest votes is eliminated, votes cast for the eliminated candidates shall cease counting for the eliminated candidate and shall be added to the totals of each ballot’s next-highest–ranked continuing candidate…” and on it goes……… Ranked Choice Voting is confusing for voters and a nightmare of potential voter fraud. There is a whole formula for tabulating the vote. You can read the whole Initiative here: https://www.nvsos.gov/sos/home/showpublisheddocument?id=9973
All the Initiative Petitions whether for statutes, repealing a statute, or Constitutional amendments require 141,000 good signatures from the four Congressional Districts.
TWO GOOD PETITIONS TO SIGN
Two Petitions on Elections: Voter ID and Repeal Mail in Ballots
These petitions are available in all counties but Clark through the local Republican Party.
We readily endorse both of these critical initiatives. However, they are both in court right now and we don’t know whether or not they will make it to the ballot.
The Voter ID initiative is a Constitutional Amendment that would need to pass the ballot at two consecutive elections. It requires a photo ID which includes a driver’s license, State ID card, government ID card issued by the US, state, county, municipality, etc., US Passport, US Military ID, Student photo ID card, tribal photo ID, Nevada Concealed firearms permit, etc.
Anyone voting by mail-in ballot shall enter in the block provided next to the voter’s signature the last 4 digits of the driver’s license or the last 4 digits of the Social Security number or the number provided by the County Clerk when the voter registered to vote.
The second initiative includes the repeal of the most egregious sections of the Democrat Election bill AB321 passed during the 2021 Nevada Legislature. It includes the repeal of the requirement that each active registered voter automatically receive a mail in ballot, repeals ballot harvesting, and requires that mail in ballots without a legible postmark be received on or before the close of the election on Election Day instead of up to 4 days after the election.
SUPPORT: Protect our Girls and Protect our Kids
We definitely support these!
These two petitions are in court right now, challenged by Planned Parenthood. One of them is for parental notification before a minor daughter has an abortion. If these get the required signatures they are statutes changes and will go to the 2023 legislature. They can approve them as written, reject them or take no action. If one or both are approved they become law, otherwise they go on the ballot in November of 2024.
The other protects parental rights requiring consent for the health care of their children: “The liberty interest of a parent in the care, custody and management of the parent’s child is a fundamental right, and includes the right to access and review all medical records of the child and to make and consent to all decisions regarding the physical and mental healthcare of the child.”
Creation of an Independent Redistricting Commission
The horrible redistricting that the Democrats just did, changing the maps for the Legislative and Congressional voting districts, completely diluted rural and conservative Nevada votes. This is tragic gerrymandering for political gain.
This initiative petition seeks to create an Independent Redistricting Commission instead of having the totally partisan Legislature do the job. Redistricting happens every 10 years after the U.S. Census. It is a Constitutional Amendment and would have to be passed twice by the voters.
It covers the Nevada State Senate and Assembly and Congressional Districts. The Commission would have seven members, 4 would be appointed by the leadership of the Legislature and three who are unaffiliated with the two largest parties would be appointed by the other four Commissioners.
“The Commission will ensure, to the extent possible, that the districts comply with the US Constitution, have an equal number of inhabitants, are geographically compact and contiguous, provide equal opportunities for racial and language minorities to participate in the political process, respect areas of similarities of interest, including racial ethnic, economic, social cultural and geographic, or historic identities, do not unduly advantage or disadvantage a political party, and are political competitive.”
Community Schools Initiative Petition
This initiative would allow cities or a combination of cities to break away from a large county school district and form their own school district, like Henderson leaving the Clark County District. The initiative is brought by Henderson City Councilman Dan Stewart.
Clark County School District is the 5th largest in the nation with 320,000 students. “In the last sixty years, Nevada’s population has grown significantly and countywide school districts have become difficult to manage effectively and have hampered delivery of quality K-12 education to Nevada’s children and families, resulting in poor education outcomes;” from the initiative.
It does not impact collective bargaining of teachers or others or union contracts.
If the initiative gathers the required 141,000 signatures it will go to the Legislature in 2023. They can either approve it, as it is written, reject it or take no action. If it is approved it becomes law or if not it goes on the ballot in November of 2024.
Similar measures have been attempted previously. It appears that this initiative has a very good objective. It is difficult to tell from news reports if this petition is currently being circulated.
Educational Choice
“This initiative requires the Legislature to establish an education freedom account program under which parents may spend money appropriated by the Legislature to pay for part or all of their child’s education outside the public school system. This is currently in court. It is a Constitutional Amendment.
The REAL Rate of Inflation is 15.9%
Shadow Government Statistics, John Williams for March 2022
“This reflects the CPI (Consumer Price Index) as if it were calculated using the methodologies in place in 1980. In general terms, methodological shifts in government reporting have depressed reported inflation, moving the concept of the CPI away from being a measure of the cost of living needed to maintain a constant standard of living.” http://www.shadowstats.com/alternate_data/inflation-charts
This means Biden’s Inflation Tax is destroying the value of your money every day.
Here Are the Groceries You Might Find Missing On Store Shelves Due to
Food Shortages In 2022
On March 24, 2022, President Biden warned of food shortages due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. “It’s going to be real,” he said of food shortages.
Meat and egg shortages, especially beef and poultry, will plague us again in 2022. Some 24 million chickens and turkeys have been lost due to the bird flu this year This also impacts the price of eggs which are skyrocketing and causing availability problem. Much of the meat shortage is due to labor shortages in the processing plants.
Dairy shortages exacerbated by the increases in feed prices for animals.
Shortages of fresh, frozen and canned fruits and vegetables, including things like soup made with vegetables.
Shortage of canned goods food and beverages because of a shortage of aluminum.
Shortage of bottled water and soda because of a shortage of plastic.
Shortages of pet food because of increased costs of ingredients such as corn, soy, meat, and certain oils.
Shortages of toilet paper and paper towels have already had limits placed on them. Supply chain problems.
Pasta and noodles are in short supply due to weather problems and the war in Ukraine.
Are you prepared? Everyday it’s more expensive and less available.
Mass abortion:
75% of women vaccinated in their first trimester have lost their babies
“In the April 11 episode of “The Ben Armstrong Show,” the host played a clip in which Sen. Malcolm Roberts of Queensland, Australia, revealed findings by a local gynecology clinic about an increasing number of women having difficulty getting pregnant.
“According to Roberts, about 13 percent of women have miscarriages around the world. But the miscarriage rate increased to 50 percent with vaccinated women. With those vaccinated in the first trimester, the miscarriage rate rose to 75 percent.
“That is huge information that is being ignored,” said Ben Armstrong.
Vaccines Cause Heart Problems in Teenagers
Pfizer and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) knew that the vaccines cause heart problems for teenagers, yet gave it emergency approval for teens despite the age group not being vulnerable to the virus.
A doctor also pointed out that in May 2021, the FDA had 35 new cases of myocarditis in teenagers, yet the hospital administered them with the vaccine with no mention of its harm to teenagers’ hearts.
With healthy immune systems, most teenagers are likely to get mild colds and recover in two weeks thanks to their natural immunity. There has been no need for a vaccine. Yet, the company and the FDA still haven’t pulled back on the mandates.
“Don’t ever tell someone to get something that is risky to their health, to protect them from something that’s not risky from their health. That’s unethical. It’s evil,” Armstrong said about the mandates.
